The history of Jewish Detroit can be traced through the grounds of Clover Hill Park Cemetery as many of the most prominent Jewish citizens of the past are at rest in this pastoral setting. 

 

Clover Hill Park Cemetery also has the guardianship of the Beth Olem Cemetery (a.k.a. The Smith Street Cemetery), located on the grounds of the General Motors Poletown. Burials at this location date back to 1848. 

 

Beth Olem Cemetery will remain open to visitors twice a year.
